The Challenge
Emagine Theater Willow Creek was undergoing renovations in two theaters, with much of the work focused on ceiling and lighting upgrades which required elevated access. The main challenge came from the tiered theater seating which made using lifts impossible. Originally, the plan was to remove the seats before the start of the project, but that option became unavailable. Another option was needed, one that gave access to the ceiling, while protecting the seats from dirt and debris.
Our Solution
Infinity Scaffold designed, installed, and dismantled this system scaffold dance floor that worked seamlessly with the existing theater seating. The result was a spacious work platform that gave access to the entire ceiling. A frame scaffold stair tower was installed near the theater screen to allow safe and efficient access to the dance floor. All seats were covered prior to installation to keep the mess off of them. By adapting to the space rather than taking the seating out, Infinity Scaffold was able to keep the job efficient and on time. The scaffold dance floor quickly became the best seat in the house, if only a movie had been playing during construction.
